Benito's Hat first caught my attention when casually strolling down Oxford Street with a couple of friends. The restaurant is located in a small side alley and offers two (narrow) floors with max. 5 tables. Quite tiny, but what an amazing service and food selection! The Mexican owners of the place - Felipe and Ben - decided to name their restaurant after Benito Juarez, a famous politician and leader from the 19th century. Benito's Hat offers a wide selection of amazing burritos, tortillas and tacos - alongside a colourful menu of cocktails (hello margaritas - with pretty little umbrellas - of course!). One has the opportunity to create their own custom burritos, think of it like "Subway" for Mexican food. An incredible amount of fresh, tasty vegetables is spread across the restaurant and employees help you create your perfect burrito. The selection of salsa sauces is simply baffling (who knew there were so many kinds to choose from?). The prices are very good, considering the place is located downtown - we all know how expensive London can get. From fresh guacamole to crispy chicken, everything your Mexican heart desires! Worth a visit!
